B A Friend Chalkboard Place Mats
Another favorite item this fall are these chalkboard place mats by B A Friend. We love these place mats because not only are they a great way to encourage those around us at mealtime with inspiring quotes but you can leave a message on these boards just about anywhere in the house! bafriend.bigcartel.com

Aeroccino Milk Frother
Our final fall item is the Aeroccino Milk Frother and it can also be found at Williams Sonoma, Macy’s, or Nespresso. There is nothing quite like a warm drink in the cooler months of October and November and there is now an easy new machine that makes milk, cream, or even eggnog a wonderful warm addition to an otherwise typical drink. So, chop, draw, and sip this Fall Season!

Back To School, or BTS, Fashion is a huge deal for us girls since we want to make sure that we look perfect on the first day. Infinity scarves are a great investment since they can be worn throughout the year, especially when bought in neutral colors. For a BTS look, try pairing the scarf with an earth-toned tee and bootcut jeans.

Earth-tones are essential in a California girl’s wardrobe since they look great when accessorized, whether its a tee shirt or a sundress. Although skinny jeans are still popular, bootcut jeans are becoming a craze. Bootcut jeans are known for being extremely comfortable and flattering on all body types. For another BTS look, try pairing your bootcut jeans with a floral print top and cute sandals.
Floral prints look great on everyone, especially when paired with jeans or neutral shorts. When wearing floral prints, accessories are often not needed due to the bold flower pattern. In California the weather doesn’t vary much by season, however it is common to need a cardigan sweater at times. Cardigan sweaters are perfect in neutral colors for either a casual or a dressy look. For a BTS look, try wearing beige cardigan sweater with denim shorts and either feather earrings or “boho” accessories.
Whether the feathers are in your hair or on your necklace, they always make a statement. Boho accessories such as tribal printed bracelets, bold colored earrings, and statement necklaces are great for accessorizing neutral outfits as well. All of the looks stated above can be found for reasonable prices at stores such as Nordstrom or Forever21. No matter what grade we are going into this year, these trends guarantee an A+ in style.

Summer is upon us and so is travel season. To make sure you enjoy a fabulous vacation, follow these smart tips:
1. Pack a small duffel bag that folds up. This way you’ll have room for all the treasures you find on your excursion.
2. Check the weather ahead of time and pack accordingly.
3. Medications should always be packed in your carry-on bag, as should anything else you absolutely need in the event your luggage gets lost.
4. Jewelry should be placed in a case meant to protect your baubles and of course, packed in your carry-on bag or handbag.
5. Make a photocopy of your insurance card, driver’s license and/or passport and carry it with you in a separate place from those actual documents. This will be very handy should the originals go missing.
6. Bring zip lock plastic bags. Not only are they handy for your liquids, they’re great for accessories and all the little things you don’t want juggling around in your luggage.
7. Put an eye catching luggage tag and handle cover on your suitcase-it’ll be easier to spot in baggage claim. We love the ones at http://www.travelchic.com/shop-travel-chic.htm
8. Get to the airport/train station early and relax. It’s no fun to be frazzled from running late!
